LET'S SEE MONTSANT GROUPS WORKING!

How are you? We're working on our CLOTHING PROJECT, so we're very busy as you can see in the following pics.
We hope you enjoy too. We've just seen  your PowerPoint comparing typical Scottish clothes with Spanish clothes. It was really surprising!
 You will see the typical Catalan clothes very soon. Nothing to do with the typical Spanish clothes!

And this term...CLOTHING&CULTURE!!!

This term teachers working on the Project, both in Hamilton and Esplugues, have decided to work on a general topic called CLOTHING & CULTURE. 

Teachers presented it to the students and they have already started their tasks in groups. This time the luck decided the groups by taking all their names and topics out from a bag  to work on. 

 

Number 5 and 6 were chosen by themselves because they took a paper with no sentences on it.

GOODBYE EASTER!!!

Tomorrow we are going to start classes again after our Easter Holidays.

Before that we want to send you some pictures about our job in classes.

We separate the class into different groups and they choose a topic to work on.

The ones working about Easter talked about an old woman called “La Vella Quaresma”, you can see some pictures about her.

This is the old lady for children from 3 to 5 years old.

 This one is for the 1^st grade of Primary.

                                                          And this is the lady for the 2^nd grade of Primary.

This lady has seven legs and children cut her one leg seven weeks before Easter. Every week they get a letter with a kind of present from her: new balls, games, a special snack, an extra day in the big playground… And the last week she gives them the Easter Holidays and chocolate eggs.

This group worked on "Caramelles", a traditional festivity celebrated in towns in Catalonia.

Next week we are going to celebrate it at School, children dancing with sticks to celebrate that Spring is here.

FISH & CHIPS

This week before Easter holidays our students from 6th grade have been very excited and happy because some of them were chosen to participate in a programme for TV3, the most important channel TV in Catalonia. The programme is called "Fish and Chips" and it's about a competition in English against another school.

Last Tuesday was "the great day"!!! All our friends from 5th and 6th grade went there to cheer our 3 fantastic contestants: Amadeu, Enric and Isabel.

                                                                          

Finally Escola Garbí was the winner of Fish and Chips Competition. It was a competitive competition against Escola Grèvol and all enjoyed a lot. It was an excellent experience!

We have been very busy in school over the last few weeks.

This is what we have been up to - 


We received the Holy Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday morning,
Last week we went to see a play called the Divided City. It was wonderful!!
Recently we have had snow so we have been busy building snowmen!!
Our girls and boys took part in a football tournament and did very well!!

Obviously we have also been busy working on our work for your school!!!
